One of my organization clients received a gift. An assortment box of teas. However, due to dietary restrictions, they need to limit their caffeine intake.

Solution: Organize tea packets into categories:

  • Decaffeinated Tea
  • Green Tea
  • Herbal Tea
  • Oolong Tea
  • Black Tea

This way, they can enjoy their decaffeinated and herbal teas and leave the black tea for guests.

Winter

In case you missed it, most of the New England area of the U.S. was slammed with snow. So much snow, that “Juno” pretty much brought everything to a halt.

What to do when you are stuck indoors due to Mother Nature? I have some suggestions.

1. Now you have an extra day (or two) to catch up on that indoor weekend project and/or hobby you’ve been putting off.

2. Declutter your desks. Test out pens to see if they work or not. Toss or shred papers you don’t need anymore.

3. Pick up the phone and call someone who you lost touch with. Nothing like a snow day to catch up.

Have an internet connection? Great! Let’s move on.

4. Catch up on emails. Responding to and sending. Also deleting ones that are no longer applicable, like past events (unless your the organizer.) Let’s not forget to unsubscribe to those emails that are no longer relevant.

5. Make sure your finances are in order. (s/o to #MoneyLoveChallenge).

6. Catch up on “Feeds” (remember those?) No, I don’t mean Facebook , Twitter, Pinterest, and  Instagram.  See what feeds and podcasts you want to subscribe, leave alone or delete.

7. Now you can reward yourself by streaming a show of your choice with the device of your choosing.

Staples Arc vs Levenger Circa

Notebooks are one of my favorite things. I rotate notebooks like I rotate seasons. This is why I thought it would be a good idea to write my thoughts on the Staples Arc vs Levenger Circa.

One notebook system that I have been using is the Staples Arc Notebook System.

As of this writing, I’ve been using it for about 4 years.

Before the Arc, I was using the Levenger Circa. I was first introduced to it during a business trip.

I like being able to rearrange sheets, dividers, and folder. I also like being able to change a notebook cover on a whim.

There are fairly compatible. I’ve been known to mix and match.

Why did I switch from the Levenger Circa to the Staples Arc?

Access.

Staples is nearer to me than the Levenger Store (there are none in my state.) The pricing doesn’t hurt either.

Also, my favorite Levenger sales person who I used to call retired.

Old-fashioned iconic alarm clock - twelve o'clock - head-on

I was reading my feeds, something I need to do much more often, but that’s besides the point.

One post that struck me was a blog post  from Chris Brogan in the form of a question.

What would you do if you had an extra 30 minutes?

Well, I just found out I had an extra day due to Presidents’ Day on Monday.

So since I have an extra day,   this is what I plan to do:

  • Check up on Nana
  • Catch up on some non-work related reading
  • Work solely on my business (i.e. journal, brainstorming on the subway)
  • Take a walk
  • Catch up with friends

So whether you have an extra day or just 1/2 an hour, what are you going to do with your extra time?

I think I had already answered this in my previous reverb10 post which include things I don’t need.

However, If you haven’t been keeping track, here’s the list:

  1. Reduce my storage space
  2. Delete WordPress Plugins I’m not using
  3. Delete iPhone Applications I’m not using
  4. Delete Blackberry Applications I’m not using
  5. Delete Computer Applications  I’m not using
  6. Unsubscribe from newsletters and feeds that are no longer useful to me
  7. Cut off communication with clients  whom I had difficulty in the past with
  8. Cut off communication with folks I don’t feel comfortable with
  9. Eliminate hesitation and speak my mind.
  10. Donate clothes I haven’t worn in 6-12 months
  11. Donate books that I no longer need

Enough said.

We all know the usual way of getting coupons through your local neighborhood flyer or newspaper. However what if you can get them online?

I’ve been going to the Coupon Mom’s website for at least 2 years, so I know how valuable online coupons are.

For instance, I had a $1.00 coupon for 2 boxes of pasta and my local supermarket had a sale on the pasta for $0.99 each, so I was able to get a box for nothing.

This is the last post on Daylight Savings Time, at least until the spring.

In addition to checking the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as well as turning the clock back, why not consider changing the way you wake up?

Recently, I used my Blackberry Alarm feature to set when I wake up. However, the drawback was I was only able to set one alarm at a time.

However, with the iPod Touch and iPhone, there is no secret that there is a wide selection of applications available. The one I use is called Nightstand. I can set more than one alarm for each day of the week if I want as well as have my choice of music, pictures and a sleep timer.
