One thing that’s scary is finding out that your Twitter account has ran away from you. More specifically, that your Twitter account has been compromised.
I saw more than my share of clients and friends tweets saying that their accounts fell victim and to not click on any previous links.
One way to “Tame your Twitter account from the Twits” is to manage and monitor which third-party applications have access to your Twitter account.
Here’s how you do it:
- Login to your Twitter account
- Click on the “gear” icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Go to “Settings”
- Select “Apps >”
- Scroll thru the applications, see which ones you recognize. Maybe you no longer need them. If that’s the case, you can simply “Revoke Access”. If you need them again, you can always go back and enable it.
